Suburban Timewaster

I play video games and review them.

Soap Opera Dash (Bigfishgames.com)

Rosie wants to air a new soap opera but the executive managers won’t air it.  Fortunately, Flo helps Rosie film it by setting up the studio in her garage.  Can she make the big time with such little equipment?

The plot is simple yet funny.  Not only is Rosie trying to film her own soap opera, she wants to win the heart of Simon the celebrity.  Meanwhile, Simon and Quinn are having a popularity contest.

During the game, you assign citizens of DinerTown roles in your soap.  The further you get in the game, the more your cast expands.  You bring each star a script.  Then you do their hair, costume and makeup.  When you’re done, you put the required props on the set and roll the camera.  In between levels, you can purchase upgrades to make the game easier.  You won’t be able to play the next level until you reach the minimum goal.  Try for expert if you feel lucky.

This game is addictive and amusing.  I give it 6 out of 10; not a bad waste of your time.
